3G problems

Can someone tell what's wrong with Lumia phones and 3 g networks? Whenever I try some Skype or download application while in 3g network suddenly the network bar drops from 3-4 bars to single bar and speed falls to Egprs speed.. And entire 3g plan is wasted this way.. Without any actual output or speed of 3g.
Just moving the phone 1 feet makes the network move from H to E ? Tired of this problem.. And am gonna move to android soon

I'm also wondering, my Lumia 920 seems very sensitive to this. 3g is always going up and down and towards H and back. I can't imagine the network being so bad.

I don't know what to tell you.

I can assure you its not reflective of Lumia's as a whole, but still, that's weird.
I suspect something is wrong with your phone.

My 920's 3G connectivity (haven't bothered fixing LTE) is solid, but that doesn't help at all does it? Just saying your plight is not normal.
