Any chance the 1520 will support 4k video capture with the snapdragon 800? Seems like the new Galaxy Note 3 and Acer Liquid S2 with snapdragon 800 will support it at 30fps. So it definitely seems like it's supported at the hardware level. I hope windows phone takes advantage of this!

Well it got to chip set to record in 4K so it very likely that they will have it as a setting on release or add on a software update.

The Snapdragon 800 is defiantly capable of recording 4K video. Several Android Phones are using the same SoC for 4k video, and Qualcomm has already demonstrated it's capability too. The 20Mp camera is more than enough too.

The limitation seams to be in WP. In case, they will provide an update, soon hopefully. Because 4K is here to stay and more Windows Phones are going to get powerful SoCs.
