521 on T-Mobile in the UK

Just back from the states where I picked up a 521 for $69 as a present for my son.

We are on T-Mobile in the UK and I thought it would work. I managed to get the unlock code which appeared to work. However I got a "SIM error" message.

Does anyone know what this means?

Fully aware of the APN stuff, but that only affects the data stuff. The SIM isn't even being recognised for voice!

Please post a screenshot (Press sidekey and windows key at he same time).

Nokia 521 will be compatible with 2G only in Europe, since its 3G bands 850 / 1700-2100 / 1900 aren't used here.

You can try to check the some steps:
1.Reinsert SIM in your mobile
2.Insert another SIM in your mobile
3.Insert Your SIM into another mobile
again your mobile shows "SIM ERROR"..Your mobile locked any one of the GSM network.. You can easily unlock your Nokia Lumia 521 by using unlock code. You can get the unlock code
from your Network Provider or other online third party providers. After you get the code visit MobileUnlockGuide.com for free instruction on how to use that code to unlock your mobile.
