I have no opinion on Nadella, so I can't comment on the related points, but our opinions are otherwise pretty similar. Looking at the current line up, what I see is WP entirely lacking a mid range, the low-end having much tougher competition than last year, and a somewhat uninspired high-end. It's not a great time for WP hardware...

I'm not too sure if it's fully Nadella, this may still be the end of the Nokia going into Microsoft era. I just how that it picks up soon, but with the lack of for the high-end spectrum, and the low-end looking weak... We'll have to see what the 7xx and 8xx series looks like, while then looking to see what happened to McLaren. :/

These are still Nokia phones yes. The 530 was ready alongside the 630. They just delayed the launch. As the 630 is the successor to the 520, they decided to present it alongside a rushed rehash of the 929 - the 930 - so that Microsoft could still have a couple of Nokia branded phones - including a flagship - to carry through the end of 2014 and the transition period.

But yes, it's not a great time for WP hardware but then again, it was expected, specially when WP has been basically a Nokia-show. You now have Nokia gone, Microsoft with the hardware but no experience whatsoever in the field and the other major OEMs still evaluating if it's even worth to bother producing hardware when Microsoft, the company that produces the OS, has just acquired a phone division.
In some ways, it's a similar scenario to the one Google faced when they bought Motorola Mobility. Because they were uncertain about how far would Google take the hardware production, the likes of Samsung and LG started to develop back-up plans. Samsung created Tizen and LG went to bring back WebOS. Eventually Samsung was able to twist Google's arm enough that Google ended up selling Motorola to Lenovo but for a moment there, Android seriously trembled.
Same is happening to WP I think. Samsung and HTC, who were already not very invested in the OS, are now pondering if it's even worth their time to compete against Microsoft itself. I wouldn't be surprised if that's also the reason the rumoured entry of Sony into WP has been constantly delayed.

Nice article, some changes needed in the specs, the SD200 uses A7 Cortex while the S4 uses Krait

Haha I thought I could be mistaken about that but I can no longer edit it.

However what I said about the cores is true, Lumia 520 is significantly more powerful.

520's dual cores can also render 1080p content, compared to only 720p playback on the 530.

I don't want to start it again so I guess for now since on paper the the 520's cores are faster, I agree on your point :smile: but I would wait till someone does an actual real world test review

Yeah but Snapdragon's site does say that Snapdragon 200 can only handle about 720p.

However yes we should wait for real world test to see how gaming is.
