535 overheating and not charging

I updated my lumia 535 to windows 10 but have been having issues with the phone heating than usual. I say it is overheating because I am not running any app in the background. Again, it takes ages for the phone to get fully charged and the battery drains very fast as well. It is sometimes strange how even when I use the phone when still on charge in because the batter power seems to reduce too. I wish somebody can offer some assistance here. Thank you

Best solution in this case would be to do a hard reset which will wipe out all your data and apps so do a backup before doing a hard reset
