Good, well my wife has the 640XL and its really good in - Battery, Camera & Some times Performance too, which is what I would look in for a SmartPhone...

I don?t have real life experience with a 650, but I had a 640 in the past and currently use a 640XL (work phone). Between the two 640s (normal and XL), the 640XL wins - unless you like smaller phones and want to spend as less as possible. They have similar specs in terms of speed and storage, but the 640XL has a bigger screen, a better camera and better battery life.

640. Best value for money - slightly faster than 650 and way cheaper.
650. Best style
640XL. Best if you want a larger screen.

Web will feel slower than 930. Apps will take a little longer to load but when running will be the same. Camera worse. But your suggested alternatives are great value. 640 especially in the US if you can pick up one of those $30-40 deals.

Would this be across the pond in European markets? For the US, as far as I can tell, it's $249.99 still for the device only 640 XL and $299.99 for the 640 XL LTE.

For $250 you get the LTE version from ATT.
From expansys-usa you can get LTE dualsim for a $200.

640XL camera is better than 640 not just because of 13Mp. Its better in the dark (aperture 2.0 vs 2.2). And 640XL is less rounded than 640, I like it.
So, if size and low ppi is not a problem for you, 640XL is the best.

I have the Lumia 640XL and it is awesome. It has a large screen. Camera is perfect, both front and rear. I recommend it to you, for many reasons.
