8.1 GDR 2 to TP 10166

If I'm on the GDR2 tp update, should I reflash my phone to 8.1 before updating to 10 or am I good to go?

Reflash is not needed to get W10 but it's still kind of smart because then you know for sure the tool work in case you need it to roll back. And you already have the firmware downloaded. And it is a kind of fresh start.

And charge your phone and keep it connected to the charger during the update. And try to prevent overheating so get it out the case if you use one.

My update was stuck at 7% for about an hour already.

It can take some (a lot of time) so let it alone and connect it to a charger.
