8.1 Question

So this is probably a silly question, and has been covered multiple times, but will I get upgraded automatically to Windows 8.1 on my 1020 or will 8.1 only be available on new phones? I'm quite happy with my 1020 as it is, and would not make a phone change for 8.1, but didn't know if it was a free upgrade or what. Thanks.....

Yup, all existing Windows Phone 8 devices will get the 8.1 update (for free)

It is free for all existing phones. The phone notifies you of any updates automatically. Under settings you have option for phone update where you can manually check for updates too.

Yes, definitely am aware of normal updates that occur, I just didn't know if the big 8.1 update was going to be an automatic thing. But thanks for confirming!

I read that AT&T will roll out the 8.1 update to coincide with the release of the next Star Wars movie in Dec 2015.

I saw on facebook that 8.1 will come out about 33 days, it's was a group on facebook
