8.1 under the hood

I know there's a lot of talk about what features 8.1 will bring but does anyone know what under the hood optimizations will be, kernel, battery, stability things like that?

I would assume there will be alot of improvements with speed, increase battery life, simple features that will not be notice, better SoC optimism etc.
