810 Stuck On Lumia Denim?

I factory reset my 810 a couple of days ago and since then the "extras+info" screen reads "Lumia Denim" and the "about" screen reads "Windows Phone 8.1 Update". I read the WC post that said the Denim indication was a fluke, but it also said it would go away if you went back to that screen - I've tried that AND rebooting.
Anybody else with experiencing this phenomenon?

Question: Does it matter what the screen says? Denim is not out yet, so its not that.

Some have said they had to reset it, not just reboot it to rid it of that fake Denim firmware.

practically speaking why would that even matter ?

The IMEI is only used for identifying the device and has no permanent or semi-permanent relation to the subscriber. Instead, the subscriber is identified by transmission of an IMSI number, which is stored on a SIM card that can (in theory) be transferred to any handset.
