8S not receiving any updates

Hi all,
I've had my unbranded 8S since April 2013 and have received one OS update maybe a month later. Since then GDR2 and GDR3 have been released but I have never received any notification. I'm based in Thailand and the phone is a Thai phone. The HTC hotline is completely useless and keeps saying that updates are being distributed to the phones in batches - with usually all phones receiving new updates within two weeks. Giving that I'm waiting for any kind of update now since 7 months I'd say there's something wrong.
Is there anything I can do to force updates or manually download them? Any idea why I don't receive any update notifications?
My OS Version is 8.0.10211.204 with firmware 1030.54.20001.1113.

My friend in Romania has an unlocked 8X and he's still rocking GDR1. GDR2 for HTC devices was never issued in some places because of some bugs HTC discovered in GDR2. Instead of bug-fixing those issues, they choose to release straight GDR3. My friend called HTC and they gave him the same speach.

The roll out has began, it's being sent in batches, will arrive pretty soon.

This was 2 months ago.

Eventually, you'll get it, I'm sure. It's weird, what can I say.

Ok, i guess I have no choice other than waiting some more, if there's just no other option to force an update or manually install them. A bit disappointing by HTC though to be so extremely slow in distributing the updates...

I have exactly the same problem (bought my htc in Thailand).
I guess there's nothing we can do but wait. And once one of the updates arrives, I'm gonna developer unlock my phone and join the preview program.
But I just got a reply saying phones from Thailand are still on the update schedule.

It needed 704.05mb on my HTC 8S, so I had to uninstall most of my apps.
But on the plus side you can reinstall them to the SD card.
I am also finding WP8.1 quicker than WP8.

I had to do a hard reset... Deleting all apps apparently wasn't enough

I deleted most of of my apps, than after installing 8.1, hard resetted. but now I'm also havin'trouble connecting the store.. :-(

I did for a while yesterday evening, but it appears to be ok today.
A quick search on the internet shows problems with the Microsoft store in Europe and India yesterday afternoon.

I contacted them already, they told me that they'll forward the concern to the team and I might hear back from them by Monday. Let's see if they'll actually contact me on Monday...

I'm affraid HTC support won't help you. Their main job is doing nothing.
