8X CaseOff!

Just to let anyone know that is looking for a lightweight case. I had a case on mine that was exactly like the Incipio Feather(rock fashion case) and the screen still cracked when dropped. I know nothing can offer complete protection but don't think you will be protected using a case like this. Once I get mine fixed I am going to get a heavier duty case for it.

You are right about the screen protection from cases like the Feather or the Doublshot by THC, but I think people should be aware that they don't provide this kind of protection.

I like lightweight cases and I'm willing to risk cracking the screen (I have dropped my phones but never seen a screen crack *knock on wood*). If you want a hevay duty case, go for it, there are some cases out there that combine looks with more protection.

The lack of screen protection shouldn't be a factor to dismiss a case, unless you value that more than weight, build quality or other factors.

The Incipio DualPro protects the screen and is a good choice, check it out. I've also seen Otterbox (Commuter and Defender) cases for the 8X but they are too bulky for my taste.
