920 - Auto on Off

Do the 920 have the facility to Auto on /off ? - ie the phone switches on and off at a certain time ?

If not is the alarm on it pretty much useless ?

I think the answer to your question is no and I personally wouldn't want it.

However, it would be useful for the device to have different profiles for different times. For instance work needs low noise and vibrate, while full volume is needed outside. Since my schedule is in my calendar, it would be useful if I could use this to switch automatically between profiles.
