I am aware there is a sticky Battery thread up there ^^^
And also a few other battery threads kicking around, but this would almost certainly get lost in either thread so I thought I'd start a new one with a more positive slant.

Pre-Amber I was on 1 day max...
Post Amber has been vastly improved - this screenshot taken about 2 mins ago - this isn't a one off either, it's a pretty consistent picture over the past couple of weeks.

Since AT&T has not released Amber, that doesn't help us...

There, got that out.

Since different people have different battery experiences, I'm looking forward to seeing if Amber helps. Would love 3 day battery life.

Blimey, I thought EE were slow with their updates.
to be honest, I'm always sceptical when it comes to software improving battery life, but I've been pretty impressed with this, and considering there are an overwhelming number of posts complaining about how crap the battery life is, I thought I'd add in some balance to the equation :D

Just to add some context around this, in those 3 days this is my usage:
23 text messages
1 picture message
approx. 40 mins of calls
14 inbound emails
8 photos (on pro camera)
2 app updates.

And I'm not sure if this is useful but my settings are:
Wifi: Always on
Bluetooth: Always on
NFC/tap to send: off
Glance: Peek
Touch sensitivity: Normal
Double tap to wake: off
Sunlight readability: On
Battery Saver Brightness: on
Block Calls: On
Find my phone - send apps through push: Off
Find my phone - Save location periodically: On
Backup to cloud: on
Backup text messages: off
Photo auto upload: on
Kids corner: off
Location: On
Lock screen timeout: 30 secs

Only 1 background task allowed: Rightmove (an estate agents app :D lol )

This is also a relatively recent change for me... Facebook notifications: Off. - and I did this because I was sick of it giving me a dozen notifications for 1 message.

Has somebody noticed something strange, the "Estimated time remaining" is red even without the battery saving on. I mean the option is ON, but I have 100% charge and the "Estimated time remaining" is red and when i turn the feature OFF there is a change in the remaining time :)

How do you do that? I got my 920 about a week ago, installed Amber and after unplugging I get only 15 hours of estimated time.

These are my settings:
Data: 3G
Wifi: Always on
Bluetooth: off
NFC/tap to send: off
Glance: Peek
Touch sensitivity: Normal
Double tap to wake: on
Sunlight readability: On
Battery Saver: on
Brightness: Automatic (Low)
Block Calls: Off
Find my phone - send apps through push: Off
Find my phone - Save location periodically: Off
Backup to cloud: on
Backup text messages: on
Photo auto upload: on
Kids corner: off
Location: On
Lock screen timeout: Never (but I don't leave it unlocked a long time)

Background tasks: Vieather, Whatsapp, Battery, Facebook beta (to change lockscreen pictures)

Even during the night I'm losing 10% or more.. and that is kinda ****. Okay my usage ist higher than yours, but even if i don't use it, it drains a lot of battery. I don't expect it to last 2-3 days, but at least 24 hours would be nice. Sometimes I have to charge the phone twice a day.
Somebody's got an idea? (Even though I already read a lot about it on the forums...)
