920 camera will not allow no flash

I choose the flash icon and set to flash icon with a slash over and still it uses flash :amaze::amaze:?? Can anyone help ?

Yes it was ... Thanks for help .. What does focuss assist do ? and why overrule flash settings ?

Cos it's not a flash. The light is used before the picture is taken. As the name "autofocus assist light" sorta tells, the light helps the phone to focus on the right thing or something.

Didn't you notice that the light comes and turns off before the picture is taken?

The autofocus works just fine without the AF assist light. I keep mine off even in low light.
