950 unlocked vs LG G4 reception on TMobile in New York State

I was in a remote area of NY this past saturday and my TMobile unlocked 950 had no reception but my daughter's LG G4 had 4 bars. They should have equal reception. Is there a way to check which bands are enabled on my 950?

Looking at their specs, both devices have the same category of LTE bands.

I believe you can go into Field Test by dialing ##3282# and that should allow you to see what bands are enabled. Some phones do have better connectivity over others though. I'm not sure what is the case here though.

Yeah, I knew the 950 has same specs as G4. I wanted to see which bands are 'active'

Yeah, ##3282# does not seem to work on the 950 with W10M

It depends on RM model. ##3282# does not work on most EMEA (European) models...

Ah, that makes sense. I bought mine on Ebay and I think it originated in Australia.
