950 XL Battery life expectations

Depends entirely on your usage. The Lumia 950 XL has pretty solid battery life if you get it on the latest Build and firmware than do a hard reset (you don't HAVE to do any of that, you'll just get the best results if you do). You could go two days if you watch it or even three if you use it only occasionally but with heavy usage you're going to see what you see with practically any smartphone these days: it'll get you through the day but you'll want to charge it when you go to bed.

My work day is 10 hours in the car, steaming music the whole time with some occasional surfing web or YouTube with some downtime and texting and the occasional call. I usually get home with around 35% to 40% left at the end of the day.

On my weekend I use my tablet a lot more and find no problem getting 2 days and occasionally 3 days off one charge.

I got a notification for your reply on my laptop and phone and the exact same time, so I navigated to this thread through Edge and saw...nothing. I had to refresh three times before I saw your reply. Looks like the Windows Central app saw your reply before it existed, haha.

It's almost impossible to find a battery for a phone with a replaceable battery... almost as if, why make a phone with a removeable battery if you didn't make replacement batteries? There's a store that sells 950 xl batteries in Europe, but they don't ship to the US.... luckily my fiance went to France and she picked one up for me that I ordered. Was tempted to buy a lot and resell them here in the US for some profit... but didn't want her carrying all of those and look unusual on the plane.

Did side by side comparison w w 6S Plus. Similar background tasks and minimal apps installed on both (no apps avail anyway for w10m). Ran the same Netflix videos on same WiFi. Iphone destroyed it giving 4 plus more hours. I think it’s the lousy w10m vs efficient iOS. Unbelievable difference btw flagships
