950xl AT&T sometimes have to reboot to receive text messages

I picked up the Lumia 950XL in January of this year. Longtime Windows Phone user back to the Lumia 900...920...1520...and now 950xl.

Anyways....it seems the past few months there have been times where I do not receive text messages but people receive mine. I then reboot my phone (soft reboot) and then I get those messages that people send me.

Windows 10.0.15240.0.

Any suggestions?

I had this issue a few weeks back. I had Skype set to receive SMS messages and SMS was very unreliable and had to be rebooted. I think I toggled it back to the Messenger app and then back to Skype and I believe things improved.

I had this issue originally without using Skype set to receive SMS messages. Decided to try and use Skype to see if it would help and it didn't. Went back to only using Messenger app but still have this issue every few days. Thanks for the response.
