First Comment: I no longer have any BlueTooth issues whatsover. Very happy with how all of my headphones and headsets function.

My question is do Windows 10 Mobil 10.0.15215.0 (1703) and Lumia 950XL support the Bluetooth AptX music codec?

I'm considering making use of a spare 10" Pinnacle LFE Subwoofer and 2 8" 8ohm outdoor speakers connected via the Grace Digital GDI0BTAR513 Amplifier Receiver and placing them in my garden/patio. Then whenever my wife or I go outside to relax, we just connect with our 950XL (we both have them) and listen to our music.

Just here to say thanks, I started to think about getting an amp for some old speakers and needing Bluetooth.... This product is very interesting!

Yes, the Win10 Mobile and the 950 XL support AptX.

Btw, AptX is not a codec, it is an algorithm for streaming via Bluetooth :).

I'm using the sony SBH-80 with AptX with no problems.

You are right. Developers make use of codecs to utilize and support the aptx algorithm. Can you tell me how you can verify the 950 xl can use the aptx streaming capability? The 1520, 930, 630 and others can make use of aptx as well, but I want to get a native windows 10 phone for steaming audio since Android still lacks the aesthetics and ease of use compared to Groove and Windows...
