I just got back from a long driving tour of the Western US. My wife and I had no issues roaming on Cricket.

I appreciate the response. I honestly can't see a reason for me to go with. ATT over Cricket since all I need is the 2.5gb data for news and random things out and about. I'll save roughly $20 a month even with a employer discount that will certainly make up the cost difference quickly of buying the 950 XL outright.

Cricket is owned by AT&T, and uses the same network as AT&T phones. I travel frequently, all over the country, and the service has been flawless.
