$99 on contract price leaked by walmart

$99 for the 810 is very high. Estimates have been around $49 and to double that is not going to work

$49? that's the price for a low end phone. $99-149 is the price for a mid range. high ends are usually $199-249.

$99 is a great price for tech like wireless charging.

That is a very competitive price, but the 8X is relatively cheap though compared to how much the 920 will end up costing at AT&T.

This is going to be interesting.

lumia 900 was suppose to be $500+ but came in at $450. hopefully, the 920 will be no more than $550 as it does have 32gb of ram.

$99 for a phone that most are settling for because they can't get a 920... I still think it's too high to draw people in to a still relatively unknown platform. An extra $50 for an 8X seems seems like a better deal.

So by your reasoning its better to pay more for a relatively unknown platform? Makes perfect sense.....

the 810 has exclusive nokia apps and lenses like cinemagraph, wireless charging, micro sd slot, I believe a larger battery that's removable, and a super sensitive screen. all things that the 8X doesn't have. I will give the 8X props for the high res screen, beats amplifiers, and a slick design.

The pricing seems right on target and I have no qualms with it. It's going to be very competitively priced which is great.

Now lets see if T-Mobile will push the 810 as a pre-paid phone, like they did with the 710. If so, I'd imagine it'd be price similarly, $350 or less, depending on rebates or refill cards (which you can then hawk on eBay).

I wonder if they will unlock it if I pay full pop for it. Moving from the US to UK in feb for school, so I can't sign a contract. Even if the 920 came in at $450 (same as the 900), I would get it. ATT would never unlock it.

None of that matters. The only thing that matters is the platform needs to attract more users, and an easy way to do that is to eat margin, and sell the hardware at cost.

I usually buy phones off contract (sim free) so I'm just hoping it will be less than $400
