a background image idea

It just came to me. The background image could be visible not only on the start screen, but also in the people hub and some other apps that want to use it. With a setting this could be turned on and off to go beyond startscreen or not.
I think this way WP could really differentiate itself from other OS. It would personalize your whole experience more.
What do you guys think?

I personally think background images are pointless but I know that lots people seem to want them, for whatever reason. There's a giant thread that I can't seem to find that went on and on about it.

I go with the philosophy, options are fine, just so long as I can turn them off if I don't want them. That pretty much goes for all new features coming in WP8.1 in my opinion.

I think functionality is way more important than features. I hope they improve that over everything else.
