A bit disappointed with Microsoft edge.

It's fast - and so far that's about the only positive. I dislike the flat, Metro look, and the fact that you can't configure new tabs to open on the page you want.

There are three things that are an improvement from IE. First it looks better. 2. Is faster. And 3, websites actually load and work correctly.

There are of course features and other under the hood improvements from IE, though.

When is Edge going to be usable? Still have problems watching media. Can't comment on Facebook without getting aggravated...what I type is slow rendering on the screen and the cursor will disappear for a disturbing length of time. I open Edge and have to wait about 6 to 7 seconds for the Favorites bar to appear instead of going where I want to go. It's slow and laggy...originally you would watch a page slowly load. Now you get to watch a blank screen while I guess it is loading in the background so it can splash at you all at once. Kind of looks faster but it's not.

I try to use it...out of curiosity I guess but keep closing it and going to Chrome. Chrome works and doesn't get in my way. Soon I won't bother with Edge....like I stopped bothering with IE years ago.

I'm okay with Edge so far, but I also do edit my host file to block ad sites. I grew distrustful of ads back in my win 7 days when I'd end up with viruses or spyware just by visiting a big-name site. :P

Something I have noticed is that it seems a bit crash-happy.

I don't really get why Microsoft released Edge as it is.

Can't block adverts = not going to use.

I want to use Edge. I don't like Chrome - it's ugly and slow to start up
