A Possible fix for Cortana with no Chit Chat or interests.

I had the same problem after switching from Cortana UK to US, she kept giving answers from web and not talked. Settings were done accordingly. I gave her two hours time then now she is back normal, this time in US accent.

I've tried this fix in exactly the way you stated and everything works except cortana. I've tried every solution in every forum I've come across for a year (wifi on, wifi off, block some cookies, allow all cookies, restarts galore, checking language settings, checking for proper software update...) short of a hard reset (which doesn't seem to work for anyone who has tried it) and nothing has worked. I can only voice prompt Cortana to read my texts and I cannot reply, no chit chat, no interests. She searches beautifully via text and all other voice prompt functions work properly for texting and search with cortana off. I would love to use Cortana, but I don't know what else to try.

One thing to check for that people miss. Is location turned on?

If this is off then she will refuse to work and you just get bing.

I have an issue thats really bugging me with Cortana.

I'm in China, have the developers preview and the Cortana beta. Since Cortana officially rolled out in China. Cortanan insists on ignoring my language settings and gives me search results, songs, jokes etc all in Chinese. Is there any way possible to get her to go with the language selected in the phone itself not region that I assume is based on IP address?

Cortana not reacting,only web result

I'm on denim on 630ds.cortana (alpha india)does not read messages through wired headphone.any help plz?setting I have used are..
Language-india English
Region-India match phone language
Speech-united kingdom english..
After doing all process descibed on first page..I have deleted all the interest from local and from cloud to initiate a fresh start with cortana..but it only provides me web result.it does not react to me.any help please.
