A study that needs to happen

I remember buying some stock in apple when a good friend showed me her new ipod and I had to give her the news that she needed to buy her first computer in order to use the ipod. She borrowed a friend's mac for a few weeks until she broke down and asked me to visit the old Compusa store in town -the only place that carried macs at the time. Apple has always been the easy and friendly computing option. I've never owned an apple product, but I learned computing when MS-DOS was the only way to learn; I never felt a need for an easy way, and I probably had an attitude about how much I knew about computing, and another one about how those that didn't know as much, used apple. Apple thrived by not underestimating the majority of users who didn't need systems that could run database, statistical analysis, and other enterprise and academic software. And by developing the game-changer: the ipod. ;)
