Sorry for the stupid question but I just want to make sure.

Installed apps list will be backup, that what I have been told. But what actually are in that list?

Say I install 1000 apps and delete 900 of them. I backup, hard reset and then restore. How many apps are there for me to download? 1000? Or 100?

Well, I expect 100 apps will be ready to be downloaded but last time I did this (portico) it seem all 1000 apps were there ready to be downloaded, which is stupid.

And what happen if I downloaded apps from different region? I downloaded and bought most apps from Thailand store but a few from US (due to availability).

Just did this yesterday. I couldn't do an automatic restore, but I could see my purchase history and choose which apps to install, so in your case the 100 apps that you want.

A hard reset will install the apps that you had previously installed. So in your case the 100 apps.

The other 900 if any of them were paid apps, then you can reinstall for free as this will recognise you have purchased and installed previously.

Mine didn't install anything after the factory reset!! Maybe the phone couldn't configure the APNs or something, so I had to connect to wi-fi and obviously you can't go back to that point once you've passed it. So I logged into windowsphone.com and looked at purchase history, deciding that actually I didn't want half of them anyway so it was a good housekeeping exercise.

FMP didn't work either (still don't know why) but since I had already synced my Microsoft account on the phone I was able to reinstall manually by clicking on the links that were emailed to me.

Not the most fluid of experiences really, but I didn't lose anything. Text messages came back automatically.

I thought I know how to flash the gdr2 amber since I already flash the portico. Turn out, the Nokia software update for retail 3.0.8 try to download my current firmware, 1314.0002.

How exactly can I flash my amber gdr2. Please help
