About LTE bands on 930 and South America

Hi guys, I need some advice from you.

The thing is I'm making a trip to USA next February, and I'm planning to buy some electronic stuff I like but that I can't get in my country due to customs restrictions and crazy taxes (as any Argentinian knows :p). The plan A is to buy a high end camcorder that records multichannel audio (as I love to record videos), like a USD $550 Panasonic one.

The plan B, and the one I like, is to buy a higher-end Lumia device than my current Lumia 925. The perfect choice would be a 930, as it costs way less than the Panasonic camcorder and have a beautiful camera, body, and it also records multichannel audio.

The problem with Plan B is, the 930 as I read on the specs doesn't support the LTE bands my country will use, those are AWS, 4, and 17.

Is there a 930 variant that supports those bands? What do you recommend me to do? For now I'm stuck with Plan A :p

Cheers!

In the US the L930 is the Icon and is on Verizon only, who have discontinued the phone. I wouldn't recommend purchasing it.

If you decide to buy a L930 internationally here is the band information.

2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600

My suggestion is that if you can only go to the US get someone there to buy the L930 for you internationally and then pick it up there if you cannot get it delivered to your country.

Yes I can buy the international version via Amazon and then send it to my address in the US, that's no problem. But my point is that the international L930 doesn't support the LTE bands AWS, 4, and 17 (that's 1700/2100 Mhz , and 700 Mhz), which will be the ones my country (Argentina) will use next year once 4G starts to roll out. So once I take my phone back to Argentina LTE will be useless... :(

I spent a lot of time on this, only to determine there is no "930.3" like the 1520.3 (RM-938), so ended up buying the 1520 to use in the US. Looks like the only place in South America with 930 is Brazil, which apparently doesn't have LTE yet, so Microsoft is just selling the European 930 which is compatible with the 3g bands. The 1520 is sold in countries with LTE so they made a variant that is compatible with American (North and South) bands
