Hi,
Does anyone know how to access the ringer programmatically in order to turn it on, off, vibrate, etc.? I'm trying to build a Windows 7.1 app using Visual Studio Express 10. I figured that to access phone features, I should add a reference to Microsoft.Phone. That gave me access to a lot of phone-related properties, and I was able to turn on the camera that way. But I don't see any way to control the ringer. What should I look under?
Thanks!

It's been a while since I've played with the SDK, but I'm fairly certain there is no access to those functions. 7 and 8 don't really give devs access to system functions like that.

Thanks for the reply. Kind of defeats the point of apps though if one can't use them to customize one's phone's operation. Maybe that's a reason to get an Android phone ...

There's still stuff you can do, but most of the system stuff is off limits, I feel that's one of the reasons why the app selection is as small as it is. However, one of the reasons why I avoid android is because of the fact that an app can screw with some of the system functions and cause problems.
