ActiveSync Disconnects Network Connection

As soon as I connect my Treo Pro to the USB cable and ActiveSync activates, it disconnects my wifi connection as well. It did this same thing with my Treo 750 as well, but I got used to it with that. Anyone know how to have the Treo connected and keep my network connection on at the same time??
