Add shortcut to change screen brightness?

My previous laptops were a macbook air and razer blade so I'm used to have a function key to adjust screen brightness but was disappointed to see the surface book doesn't have them. The auto-bright feature doesn't work that well so I'd prefer to do it manually as quickly as possible.

Is there a way to create shortcut keys or something to adjust brightness up and down? I tried googling it but didn't find anything useful. It's annoying to go through a multi-step process. My current solution is to just keep the Mobility Center open at all times and adjust as needed.

This exists already... press and hold the function "fn" key and press delete or backspace to adjust screen brightness

That changes brightness for the backlit keyboard; not the screen
