Added Gmail as Windows Phone email under Microsoft Account

After i added my Gmail as Microsoft Account in my Lumia 640 it say i need to verify this email......

When i log into my gmail account i have a email verification message

I click the verify my email and it sends me to log in to login.live.com ?

I dont get it why i have to log into Hotmail or Outlook ?

When i log into my gmail there it says password is worng synce is a Gmail if i llog in to my Hotmail account my inbox is empty since i used Gmail ??

What is this verification MICROSOFT ?

To be clear, this is a fan based news and discussion site. It is not in any way run by Microsoft or Lumia...

Sounds a bit odd and I'm trying to picture it... So did you use a different Password for the Microsoft Account than the Google. It reads as if that is what they want for verification... The Microsoft Account Password.

Is there an option for you to try getting the verification code sent via text?
