Does anybody notice that the adobe reader desktop verison either opening a file in web browser or desktop it runs sluggish?

I have i3 version if that matters which it shouldnt

Why don't you switch to one of the many better alternatives such as Foxit for example? Adobe Reader has always been bloated and slow in comparison.

I am currently using draw board. It's an excellent app. I bought it on sale for $4.99 a while back :)

It's been years since I used Adobe Reader. I've used FoxIt for at least six years that I can think of (because I remember using it at my last job). It launches so much faster, without wasting time on the launch screen. If I want to read a PDF, I don't want to have to wait forever for it to load. Nothing Adobe makes is small.

The only reason why I like adobe reader is because you can view pdf's in the website, its annoying to keep downloading them. Does FOXit allow you to view pdf in desktop ie?
