After reset phone shows wrong time

I noticed that strangely my camera wasn't working and was showing pitch darkness, no light or showing the intended object I was trying to capture.
So I decided to do a hard reset (holding down the volume buttons and power button) and when it restarted it showed the wrong time and was a month behind :-\ and all my past text messages kept showing up as new notifications. Tried turning off the phone and restarting again but each time its given me different dates from the past month and never syncs up to today's calendar and time date.
How can I fix this and has anyone experienced this ?

That's a weird one...
Normally the "hard reset" is done from settings/about/reset phone.
Sounds as though by your description a "soft reset" (reboot) was done versus the full or hard reset.

The date problem sounds like the phone has no reliable network connection.
Any more details you can give perhaps?

Check your settings to make sure they are set to automatic AND log into your windows acct/email and make sure your time zone is set to the correct area
