Still the same. Firmware update (cyan update from Nokia ) can bring new camera algorithms. Windows phone 8.1 is just a OS update , lumia black still has it's camera aloforitms in windows phone 8.1 update.

I wish they would allow you to completely disable image post processing. Took some nice photos that looked fine before they got saved. My 920 has ruined many memories.
