After upgrading to Windows 10 my HDMI port does not work. How can I fix this?

after upgrading to windows 10 my HDMI port does not work.

after upgrading to the windows 10 OS, I could not get my HDMI port to work. It does not get recognized at all and is very frustrating. I run the OS on my laptop which is a HP Pavilion. Can anybody please tell me there is a solution. I really need it to be working. I love windows 10 but this is a big problem.

have you 1:checked to see if there is a driver update and 2: see if the laptop has a key combo to enable video out/check windows display settings to make sure the secondary out is enabled?
