are you changing the tone in notifications settings?

it would be since some app updates first get released to insiders and then to official releases. Like the panorama update is available for insiders only and not the public while new sticky note features is on fast ring insider only.

So your broken alarms app could be because of being on insider and you have an insider version of the app OR the OS itself being on fast insider makes this app broken in that particular aspect

Silly question, but are you clicking the save icon after choosing the sound? Hitting the back arrow doesn't save. I remember I used to make that mistake early on when I got the 950xl on day 1. It was different than what i was used to with Windows 8.1.

I don't have issue changing my sounds

You are right man! I also experienced the same.

I've changed the alarm tone but not saved it AND directly close app . Results in default ringtone...

Its been doing it from the start.Doesnt matter what ringtone I choose ,once it goes off its the default alarm.I guess it doesnt really matter,any alarm sucks .Lol

Of course it matters, it's useless if you can't change the sound to something better for you.

Well are you making sure to save the setting with the disk icon after you change the sound? You can't just change the sound and then leave the app.

If you haven't had it too long yet, I would have just reset the phone to freshen all the files. If the standard alarm & clock is wonky, probably more is wrong too.

I had something similar where while using Alarms app, it crashed and I lost all my alarms, well visibly. Problem was they were still active and I couldn't control them anymore! So I had a alarms going off at times I didn't want anymore and couldn't turn it off lol.... ghost alarms!

That was mildly annoying lol. Ended up resorting to a phone reset to clear up that mess Luckily the phone back up and restore is pretty decent so it wasn't bad getting it all set up again.

Oh btw, is your alarm tone something you choose from "Pick from my music" or "Pick from ringtones"? I haven't done the "Pick from my music" option before and I use the tones that come with the OS.
