I have been thinking about picking up a Lumia 925 from HSN. I am wondering if the 925 has a pentile amoled grid, if so how noticeable is it? I have had phones with pentile grids in the past (Nexus One, Samsung Focus, Galaxy Nexus). The odd patterns and odd gradients they produce in solid color bands drive me nuts. The display on my Galaxy Nexus, during a white backdrop, looks like a real sheet of paper because of the uneven pattern of white being shown. I'm hoping this isn't the case with this display, but wanted some opinions first.

hey khazara ! welcome to wpc forums
Lumia 925 has a deeper blacks and better contrast, lower power usage in some scenarios (when the background is black) with great viewing angles. The display on the Nokia Lumia 925 is a 4.5" AMOLED of WXGA resolution (768 x 1280), which is the maximum supported by the OS at the moment. The display has 332ppi pixel density and its matrix has a PenTile arrangement. That's not ideal, but the screen is slightly better in terms of sharpness than the Samsung Galaxy S III (PenTile Super AMOLED HD with 306ppi pixel density).

you can always play with Lumia 925 at nearest nokia store or read complete review here :- Nokia Lumia 925 Review: The best Windows Phone available? | Windows Phone Central
