Andriod Wear on Windows Phone

Hi,

Has anyone tried to "sideload" the Andriod Wear SDK on a developer unlocked Windows 10/Mobile phone?

Does it work, with limitations like Andriod Wear on Iphone ?

Has it dependencies to Google Services ?

Re: Andriod Wear on Windows Phone

Probably depends on services but no one can sideload anything in recent builds since Astoria bits have been removed from the Preview.

Given what Wear needs, I highly doubt it'll ever work.

If its as you say regarding the sideload in the new build, thats to bad!
But I newer thought that Android wear would end up supporting in IOS so i made a shot 😊!

I really hope that MS has a plan for smartwatches and dont place all their dollars on the Band for the official release with Windows Mobile/10... Then I know at least one customer that will leave MS and Windows Phone...

Anyone who used Astoria, knew that the current builds that supported it, had NO hardware support. So, No camera, No wi-fi (only internet), No blu-tooth. So sideloading a android app, would not achieve this.

I tried the native Pebble app on Android to see if I can get it to talk on it, it didn't work. It could not access blu-tooth.
