[Answered] Is possible increase the ram memory on my lumia 520?

My lumia 520 only has 512 mb of ram memory. I saw videos of android aplications that can increase the ram memory with the memory card. Is possible do that on my lumia 520?

No not the RAM memory but you can use a SD card to increase the storage space.

I think the OP is referring to rooting android devices and installing "ram to sd" which of course isn't possible on Windows powered phones.

I believe OP is referring to increasing the page file, or virtual memory. My Surface RT can, but it's not possible on Windows Phone. I could be wrong though.

Software hacks just won't help, however...

Possibly if you want to disassemble it, and if you're really good at desoldering and soldering, and you have the correct equipment and parts to do it with, have a really really steady hand, then there is a slim to remote possibility that the RAM can be increased. You would have to replace the current RAM chip with a RAM chip that has more, but it simply isn't cost effective. It would be less expensive to just buy another phone that already has more RAM.

I don't know, a Lumia 735 is gonna probably cost you 280$-300$ unlocked. People can get Lumia 520s for 20-40$ new if you dig enough.

But if the Lumia 535 Is available to you, would be much cheaper just to upgrade to that.
