I am a new user of Windows 10, and a first time Surface user. What Anti-virus software will use the fewest resources and have the least effect on the battery life?

I believe most here believe the built in Windows Defender will do the trick.

The windows 10 built in anti virus is pretty good, I used to use 3rd party programs but it's not needed now.

Another vote for defender and a bit of common sense.

I like NOD32 from ESET. It works well and is lightweight.

I favor Avast! but that's just me. Defender is also adequate.
