any fixes for 920 battery life

A couple of tips....

Uninstall any battery monitoring apps. They do nothing except drain your battery and make you 'fixate' on your battery life....

If you are going to charge your battery, always charge to 100%. If you don't, the battery seems to discharge quicker than normal.

I have zero battery problems. Most things are on constantly: Wi-Fi, Location, E-mail push, 6 apps maximum background tasks. Getting a day and half battery with constant use....

As far as I'm concerned there are NO battery problems with the 920, just badly written apps....

Starting to hate this phone.

Drops 10% every hour.

It's pretty much all shut down. Even when standby.

Microsoft or Nokia should really do something about asap.

my battery life was consistently good up until the 1314 update - now, i have inexplicable battery drain on a somewhat regular basis. i blocked all background tasks, i've wiped my device and reconfigured it from scratch, i've disabled email push (retrieving on demand only) and despite having less than 5 minutes screen-on time, my battery is at 30% after 2 hours. yesterday, i put it back on the charger with 65% battery after 14 hours off the charger. it's driving me nuts.

I know everyone has a magic app that was killing their battery, and it seems to be different for everyone, but after installing a handful of apps on phone I was experiencing 10 to 20% battery drain per hour in either idle or occasional texting mode. I deleted Rovi this morning and after having been off the charger for over 12 hours with mild use (no talking, a tiny bit of wi-fi web surfing, maybe a dozen texts) I still have 93% of my battery and it's showing 3 days. I haven't heard anyone else mention Rovi in any of these battery drain threads, so just wanted to throw that out there.

I notice that weather apps (with tile and lockscreen) drain the battery quick you notice this by your phone getting hotter (my guess it creates a loop somewhere), I've also noticed this with the battery apps, I've tested by installing app weather and running a day then uninstalling App weather, I experienced bad battery drain. then installing App Battery and I also experienced the same drain.

I seem to think that these apps aren't using the correct API's or have faulty code or since WP8 is fairly new so there's gotta be some bugs that seem to cause these issues.

I think the major upcoming update will fix some of these issues.(hopefully)

Question is whether anyone's battery will still be worth a damn when the next updates rolls out.

Ok mate, just a quick note. I have similar battery drain issues.

BUT if like me you have access to WiFi for most of the day (Home or Work), then you should be good. I am able to get 1 FULL DAY of full use, by DISABLING cellular data (when I get into work or home) and ENABLING WiFi. This will enable you to use the phone for a FULL DAY atleast per my experience.
