Most phones in the US, that didn't just come out, don't have the update yet, not just Verizon phones.

I won't even attempt to make a prediction. It could come tomorrow, next week, next month or who knows when. U.S. carriers aren't exactly speedy sometimes with the testing and release or giving us an idea of when to expect it. So, we'll wait and see.....

Not sure whether this question has been asked anywhere but when the GDR2+Amber leak happened earlier this week did anyone even check if there was a leaked ROM for the 822/928 in the same way as for the 810?

I'm switching to tmobile. How do you send texts on the 822? I tried to put a sim card . Every thing works fine except the texting

You have to switch to 2G to send texts. There seems to be some sort of connection issues with the 822 (Not complaining, since it's designed as a CDMA first phone). I own one and use MetroPCS (T-Mo subsidiary now) and I can run on HSPA for internet, but I switch to text.

How I wish the software update that pops-up on my phone is the Amber update.. But i'm not gonna dare install it - i know it's the cursed portico.. hahaha.. Hope they addressed the outgoing sms issue on the amber update (if there will be one.. Or maybe they really fixed it which caused the delay of roll-out..(fingers crossed)

Yes, GDR2 is coming.....should be OTA to all the 822's on 23rd Friday. Verizon finally waved the green flag (Oops my bad "RED" flag) for L822 Amber to NOKIA today.

I see that today, it changed from "waiting for approval" to "coming soon" here:

I noticed today that on the Nokia website the status of the amber update has changed from waiting for approval to coming soon.
