Any other Vivo Tab RT owners?

The most recent update (two or three days ago?) really improved performance and should have been the launch version of RT. I think it would have had much more positive reviews had the current version been the reviewed version. It's really a shame too, since most sites won't go back and update their reviews to reflect this update's improvements.

Yep, a real missed opportunity to make the best first impression. It performs much as I would expect a regular tablet would, for most people this would be more than enough, with Office, the keyboard, storage card and USB ports. Well I'm enjoying it, so that's at least 1 satisfied customer. :)

Re: Keyboard frustration

I had this same error. Please make sure your telephone number does not have any dashes. use 1112223333 NOT 111-222-3333

All in all I'm finding this difficulty in obtaining a keyboard very frustrating. Like many of you, I'm surprised by the lack of keyboard when so many sites and news outlets are reporting that it will come with. Thanks to you in the forum I learned that I can get a free keyboard from ASUS directly. I tried that last night to no avail as the site would continue to give me a "Tel Error" error message when I tried to submit my information and pics (serial and receipt - less than 500K for both pics). I gave up and and thought I would try again today. Now, on the ASUS Canada site when I log in there is no longer an option/link for the "Mobile dock apply & inquire". What the heck!?!

It's for things like this that I hope Staples Canada offers the same deal as Staples USA and I can just return this unit and pick up one with a keyboard right away. :straight:

Got mine about a week and a half ago. Traded in my ASUS TF300T for it and paid the difference at Best Buy. Didn't know about the free dock and upon registering it on the ASUS website I figured it out. Site wouldn't let me order the dock and round after round with customer service and calls to best buy I finnally found one Best Buy employee that knew of the promtion. Got my dock and all is well in the universe!!! Gotta say I really love this tablet over my Android version. I went to XDA-developers.com and found some tips and tricks and was able to free up 5.7GB of space used for error reporting. Lots of cool little tweaks over there.

If you purchased your dock from Best Buy, you are not eligible for the free dock through us. Best Buy is supplying the dock on their own. If you purchased one from Best Buy, the serial number will not be able to register for the dock, the site knows this and will restrict you from ordering. Also, the promotion is available to customers in the US and Canada only. Furthermore, not all purchases qualify for the dock. If you are wondering if your purchase qualifies, please contact me with your serial number, and I can check if your reseller qualifies.

The docks have begun to ship out last week, so if you have already registered, please be patient, and they will get to you in the order that it was processed. If you are have registered your tablet but do not see the link to apply for the free dock, please make sure your device is the Asus VivoTab RT. If you put in RT 3G, ViVoTab or VivoTab LTE, the link will not appear. Almost everyone having the issue with the link not appearing has done this step incorrectly.

I apologize if you have called our support number and they were not able to register your dock for you or check up on its status. The call centers do not have access to this. You are the only one that can register for the dock via your own VIP account.

If anybody has any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at cl-tien@asus.com. You can also shoot me an PM, but I check my inbox more frequently than I check the private messages here.

Thanks!
