Any reason to switch to a live account instead of gmail?

I've found Hotmail to be much better at handling spam, as well as easier to set up to import email from other email accounts. At the same time, though, I really have never found a need for any of the other Live services. I use SkyDrive occasionally, but I tend to keep most of my stuff on my laptop, since I live in a rural area with highly suspect internet.
