If you transfer the video to your Windows PC, GOM Player has a really good still capture function (hold down Ctrl-E to capture a sequence of successive frames so you can choose the best one)

Look through the Store, i'm not sure if any of the Nokia stuffs like Cinemagraph, Nokia Video Director, Nokia Video Trimmer does anything like that.
If nothing on WP helps, do it through your Nexus 7 android apps :winktongue:

Good question, but technically you're not losing a lot of detail by screenshotting. You get a 720p still from a screen shot, so if you're recording in 720p you have full quality, and if you're shooting in 1080p, then you've lost 50% of the quality.

I still have got a few good stills I was just looking for an easier option to go through all the available stills instead of playing the "pause/play" game
