Anyone else had odd case of phone heating up/battery drain with seemingly no cause?

It's happened three times to me. Phone gets very hot after just sitting idle. Like very hot, and battery starts draining 1 percent every 2-3 minutes. Battery Saver isn't showing anything is causing it, and the worst part - a reset/restart of the phone does NOT stop it. Anyone else?
