Anyone else have screen take awhile to brighten upon wakeup?

Basically recently my phone has decided to do the following,
When you press the button to load up lock screen from it being awake, brightness stays really dim and takes a few seconds to get to normal brightness.

I can repeat this many times and has now become consistent, would you say this is a hardware or a software issue?

I have ran across this once or twice. It's about the only bug I've had. I only noticed it the last few days, but I've only had my phone a couple weeks.

I've had a lot of things go wrong since the latest update. i get what you have mentioned plus alot of crashes. Also getting really bad battery drain.

I actually had this yesterday. just restarted my phone and now its okay. note: got wp8 black on

Yeah the recent update has made my phone only just last a day and keeps crashing.

I get it very frequently on my 1520 using 8.1

Are you running Glance? If so, try turning it off. I had the same issue until I disabled Glance, myself.
