Anyone NOT having battery issues?

Mine does pretty well too. The standby time seems really good, although WiFi does seem to eat more battery.

Using the phone at work (10 hours on w/o WiFi, checking mails, streams, doing searches and a few calls and text leaves me with more than 50 percent left.

On the Weekend I have managed to drain the phone, but that was pretty extreme use with videos etc.

Compared to the Omnia 7 (which has good battery life), the Lumia 800 has a good amount of power to back the hardware. As mentioned already in this thread, battery capacity is restricted by software and is set to be increased.

Reading all the info there seems to be two issues batteries lasting just a couple of hours and people with moderate use getting only 7/8 hours

I got my Lumia on the first day and was only getting 7/8 hours with moderate use. one push account and 1 manual email account.

I ran the software update 7740 after my phone was already setup and was still getting the 7/8 hours.

I completed reset my phone and setup from scratch and am now seeing much better battery life, could be all the bits I downloaded when first got it are now not on.

But I never saw 1 day 8 hours in the battery life which I do now

The battery life for me is manageable it is just not as good as the Omnia which was very good. I can however get through a day of moderate use and I continue to use it as I did the Omnia.

Do note that the full capacity is reportedly not currently being used. The update in early 2012 (January) is set to lift the restriction so the OS can use all the battery.

Well, I've had my Lumia since Tuesday and the battery is working pretty good for me.

Right now it's showing 1 day 20 hrs since last charge and I still have 56% left.

I'm no super user but it's Wi-Fi on/3G off when I'm at work and at home and 3G on/Wi-Fi off when I'm out and about. Location on. Lots of texts and emails, a few phone calls, some browsing, played a few songs, tested Nokia drive for a few minutes, at least 30 minutes of Fruit Ninja:blush:...

So I'd have to say I'm pretty happy about that, especially since I haven't received the update yet.

ps. forgot to mention I keep it in battery saver mode at night when I sleep...

I bought mine a weeks ago and already updated twice. The last update from Nokia actually really helped. My last status from "battery saver" before I started charging was:

Remaining battery life: 15%
Since last charge: 1 day 2 hours
Time left: 2 hours

Which I must say is pretty impressive. If I would leave the phone it could take up to 2 days...Not many smartphones can do that these days...

Cheers

I've had mine about a month and only really had issues at the start, which is to be expected as I was new to WP7 and was testing out a lot of apps and such.

A few full recharge cycles (< 20% - 100%) down and I can get 2 days of light use out of it easily. Even a full day (7am - 1am) with music, video, lots of social networks and web browsing and so on is no problem at all.

It's a shame some people have had issues with it, but nice to see Nokia acknowledge it and start working on a fix right away.

I'm also on Rogers and I ordered mine from Clove.co.uk. 385 GBP, shipping included.

Isn't that one missing the 850 3G/HSPA band?

And just wanted to point out how smart this is. It'd be nice to set a time period in which the phone can go into battery saver mode, as going into settings can be a hassle.

I find when I sleep thats when my Lumia gets some juice, it all comes down to forming the right charging pattern for your phone. Some smart use of the 3G and WiFi from trmnta82, personnally though that is to much effort and I just leave bluetooth/WiFi/3G running all the time. My biggest problem for battery life traditionally is that I sit on the edge of the T-Mobile network and on the edge of Orange and flick between the two to nothing frequently during the day which is a drain in itself

I look forward to the extra juice in January as the battery life is the one thing that irks me about this phone as even with the improvements I noticed during the last firmware update it still comes a distant second to my Omnia.

However I will say that the Lumia is a sexy minx and despite the allure of the Omnia and the lack of technically anything between them she is a winner. People actually notice it, which is more than could be said for the Omnia.

Yes, it is. However, I live in a bigger city and the 1900 band works well enough for my use. I have variable 3G coverage at work (in a warehouse), but I have access to Wi-Fi there so I don't really need it, but everywhere else I've been out and about the past week has had full 3G coverage on 1900 with Rogers.
