Anyone notice better audio quality after 8.1?

After updating to 8.1 I'm noticing vastly improved audio quality, like better bass and more details. I'm no audiophile but I have decent headphones and it helps noticing it. Can anyone confirm or is it just placebo effect?

seems strange, imo an audio improvement, just like camera improvements can only be made by firmware upgrades, not OS upgrades

I haven't had a windows phone long enough to know if it is "better" but I can say the Nokia 1520 sounds phenomenal!

I stream Pandora all the time from my 920 to my Kenwood in my car, I've noticed a huge improvement. Not so much in audio quality but in connection times, loading times, etc.

Conceivably audio quality could have been improved by a software update of the codecs used by the OS have been changed, or bit rate altered at all-that would not require a firmware update.....
