Still getting the error on my 822. I'm going to reset out of Dev Preview if not fixed by the end of September or not fixed by the time Verizon releases Cyan for the 822 (whichever comes first).

Still getting same error on Samsung Ativ S. Tried update several times every day since it was available with no joy. This is not the way to keep customers, seriously thinking of going back to Android.

Yep still getting the error. I just wish I'd stop getting the update notifications though.
Imagine if MS gave us status updates of their progress, but seeing how reluctant they are at writing detailed changelogs for their apps most of the time, I see this as wishful thinking.

I attempted to install the preview for developer a little while ago and it would do the first update fine, but I kept getting the 0x80188308 error. I did a couple hard resets, then I did the nokia software recovery and tried again but still no joy. Did another software recovery and not sure if I should attempt it again. No idea why it doesn't work!

– the 80188308 error – which resulted from running out of storage space in the system partition during update. Had this same issue on the pc side a while back as well. On os installation 3 partitions are created. boot, system and os. The system partition is where the installation files are stored and where the system goes when it undergoes a refresh. Originally this partition was created to barely fit the original build install which is too small for the current builds. There was supposed to be an update to increase the partition size. At this point you may have to wait for official release since production has moved on to the windows 10 builds.
